How many people can I connect with at once on Bonza?
Bonza supports up to 4 inputs per computer as one remote; for best performance, aim for 7 people on modern hardware or 5 on older systems.
Maximum Number of People Using Bonza at Once
Using One Laptop or Desktop
Bonza allows more than one person to share a single signed-in computer. Each machine supports up to 4 input channels, which are combined together into a single stereo mix before spatialisation. To everyone else in your session, these channels appear as a singular group source - we call these remotes. This makes it possible for anything from a duo to a full ensemble to perform together from one device.
Overall Group Size
There is no strict limit to the number of people who can use Bonza at once. The practical maximum depends on the hardware in use. To keep sessions running smoothly, we recommend:
-
Up to 7 people on more recent hardware (modern laptops or desktops)
-
Up to 5 people if using older hardware
More powerful systems may support larger groups, but these numbers are a reliable guideline for consistent performance.
