Adjusting the volume levels of other players

Are other players in your session too quiet or too loud?

Using the Mixer in the LiveRoom

The Mixer gives you control over the balance of audio within your session. You’ll find it in the control bar at the bottom of the LiveRoom tab.

Local Channels

  • Local channels are your own audio inputs.

  • For each local channel, you can adjust:

    • Volume fader - sets how loud your own signal is in your headphones.

    • Pan control - positions your signal left or right in the stereo field.

    • Mute button - temporarily silences your signal.

Remote Channels

  • Remote channels represent the other participants in your session.

  • Each remote channel includes a volume fader, letting you adjust how loud that person sounds in your mix.

Tips for Balancing Your Mix

  • If another user is too quiet:

    • Try lowering your own local volume, then increase the overall level in your headphones. This often gives you a clearer mix.

  • If another user sounds distorted:

    • The distortion may be caused by clipping at their end.

    • Politely ask them to dial back the gain knob on their audio interface for the corresponding input.

By using the mixer effectively, you can create a comfortable and balanced listening environment for rehearsals, performances, or collaboration.
